1. Overview
This Usage Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the DashAPI platform and services. It outlines acceptable practices, usage limits, data responsibilities, and other guidelines to ensure a secure and productive environment for all users.
2. Account Responsibilities
As a user of DashAPI, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and authentication tokens
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspicious activity
- Ensuring all information provided during registration is accurate and up-to-date
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- Using the platform in accordance with these terms and any additional policies
- Implementing appropriate security measures on your end
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use DashAPI only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Harassing, threatening, abusing, defaming, or disparaging any person or entity
- Posting, transmitting, or distributing obscene, indecent, or offensive content
- Disrupting the normal flow of dialogue and interactions on the platform
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
- Reproducing, duplicating, copying, selling, reselling, or exploiting the platform without authorization
- Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar scripts without explicit permission
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to discover the source code
- Transmitting viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Engaging in spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities
- Violating any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
4. Data Usage and Management
You are responsible for all data you upload, process, or store on the DashAPI platform:
- You must own or have the necessary rights to all data you provide to the platform
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- You must not upload sensitive personal information without appropriate safeguards
- You must obtain proper consent from data subjects before processing their information
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical data
- DashAPI is not liable for loss or corruption of your data
5. Usage Limits and Fair Use
To ensure optimal performance and fairness for all users, we enforce reasonable usage limits:
- API request rates must comply with your subscription plan limits
- Storage quotas apply based on your plan tier
- You may not resell or redistribute access to the platform
- Excessive usage that impacts other users' experience may result in restrictions
- Sustained activity that violates rate limits may trigger automatic throttling
- We reserve the right to modify usage limits with notice
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the DashAPI platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, code, and documentation, are owned by DashAPI or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any data you provide to the platform. However, by using the Service, you grant DashAPI a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, process, and analyze your data for the purposes of providing and improving the Service.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without express written permission from DashAPI.
7. API Usage Guidelines
If you use DashAPI's API, you agree to:
- Keep your API keys confidential and secure
- Use authentication tokens only for your authorized use
- Monitor your API usage against your plan limits
- Implement appropriate error handling and retry logic
- Cache responses when appropriate to minimize API calls
- Not bypass rate limiting through workarounds or multiple accounts

- Notify us immediately of any API key compromise

DashAPI may integrate with or allow connections to third-party services and platforms:
- You are responsible for complying with third-party service terms and conditions
- DashAPI is not responsible for third-party service availability or security
- You must obtain necessary permissions and consents for third-party integrations
- Data shared with third-party services is subject to their privacy policies
- We recommend reviewing third-party security and privacy practices
9. Performance and Reliability
While we strive to maintain high availability and performance:
- We do not guarantee 100% uptime or availability
- Scheduled maintenance and updates may cause temporary service interruptions
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of scheduled downtime
- Emergency maintenance may be performed without notice
- Performance may vary based on usage patterns and system load
- Network latency is subject to factors outside our control
10. Monitoring and Enforcement
DashAPI reserves the right to:
- Monitor usage patterns and account activity for compliance and security
- Investigate suspected violations of this Agreement
- Restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Implement rate limiting or throttling for excessive usage
- Remove or modify content that violates this Agreement
- Take legal action where necessary to protect our interests
11. Violation Response
If we determine that you have violated this Agreement:
- We may send you a warning or notice of violation
- We may temporarily restrict your account or access
- We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform
- We may pursue legal remedies available under applicable law
- Outstanding fees and obligations remain due
The severity of our response will depend on the nature and extent of the violation.
12. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for implementing security measures on your side:
- Use strong, unique passwords for your account
- Enable multi-factor authentication where available
- Regularly update your browser and security software
- Use secure networks and avoid public Wi-Fi for sensitive operations
- Monitor your account for suspicious activity
- Report security vulnerabilities responsibly
13. Compliance with Laws
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using DashAPI. This includes data protection laws, export controls, sanctions regulations, and any other relevant legal requirements. You are solely responsible for ensuring your usage complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Usage Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or posted on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of DashAPI after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.
